Architectural finished concrete refers to “pretty concrete” surfaces designed and finished for visual appeal in addition to structural function, commonly used in Texas construction projects. Standard concrete is typically left rough, architectural finish concrete is treated in various methods to enhance its color, style, smooth textures and often becomes a focal point in the design with special molds or built up features.

In Texas, architectural finish concrete in projects include a variety of visually striking treatments. Exposed aggregate, for example, involves removing the top layer of cement paste to reveal the aggregate (stones or pebbles) beneath, creating a textured, decorative appearance. Polished concrete, a popular choice for interior commercial floors and modern designs to achieved a smooth, glossy concrete finish. Before polish we can also tint the color for a natural stained concrete look, often seen in Texas for outdoor patios, walkways, and commercial spaces. We blend different stains or dyes to produce rich colors and patterns. Stamped concrete, commonly seen in outdoor areas like driveways and plazas, is textured or patterned to resemble brick, stone or slate. Custom formed concrete, a distinctive option for modern and industrial-style buildings, is created by pouring concrete into forms leaving an impression of wood grain, plants or other design elements on the surface of the final concrete product.
